Manufactured as standard from quality hardwood, selected for its durability and attractive appearance, these doors combine good looks with peace of mind. Alternatively, if required, the door and frame can be made from laminated redwood. All timbers are preservative treated after all machining in accordance with BS 5589. This enables us to provide a thirty year warranty against timber degradation. Special low level thresholds can be provided for wheelchair access in accordance with: Dept. of Environment & Welsh Office, Access & Facilities for Disabled People, Approved Document M 1999 Edition and Scottish Executive Technical Standards, Access & Facilities for Dwellings Pt. Q, Amended December 1999. Standard finished sizes: Door: Frame: Our French doors can be manufactured within the following width parameters: 1,200mm (min.) 1,800mm (max.) However, the following standard systems are available: 1,500mm 2,100mm These doors are designed to cope with adverse weather conditions without compromising on stylish good looks. At the heart of both systems are 56mm finished thickness, weather-stripping and multi-point espagnolette locking. This gives robustness, stability and a high level of resistance to forced entry. Bottom rails are drained as standard. Specialist glass units, including leaded, Georgian bar and bronze anti-sun, can be fitted upon request. The beading is fixed using a special system to enhance product integrity and appearance. All products are treated with preservative after all machining. This is applied by means of a double vaccuum process in accordance with BS55:1989 (or BS8417:2003) and NHBC recommendations. Such treatment enables us to offer a 30 year warranty against rot or fungal decay. The coatings used as standard are water based in accordance with the company's environmental policy. Our extended coatings warranty may be available on Patio and French doors that are fully finished in our factory. Please ask for further details. A wide range of wood stains and colours are available to choose from. Doors that open out are supplied as standard. Doors that open in can be supplied on request. Brass handles, escutcheon and euro cylinder lock barrels are fitted as standard, as are concealed three-point espagnolette locking, with dead bolt and concealed slip bolts to the fixed leaf. Alternative handle finishes are available upon request. We provide a full technical back-up service covering all aspects of product and glazing performance.
