Many other options available include composite and architectural panels. The H Window is externally beaded in timber using a secure anchor system, which avoids pinning with a vented and drained aluminium bottom bead to maximise sash durability. Aluminium beading to all sides can be specified. A range of timber face-fixed extension cills includes 25, 32 and 63mm options. Colour-coded aluminium cills are also offered. All windows are manufactured to order thus allowing design freedom within ironmongery limitations as follows: Maximum sash width: 2488mm The above table assumes 4/12/4 double glazing Windows have been tested at the British Standards Institute in Hemel Hempstead to meet the following requirements; BS 6375: Part 1: 1989 Performance of windows - classification for weathertightness Air permeability 600 Pa Water penetration 300 Pa Wind resistance 2400 Pa. BS 6375: Part 2: 1987 Performance of windows – Specification for operation and strength characteristics. Passed. Both of the above tests are most recently documented on BSI Test report number 261/005269/2-3, dated 3rd. December 1998. Copies available from West Port upon request. Thermal Insulation 20mm double glazing: 2.8 W/m²K, 20mm with insulating glass: 1.9 W/m²K A wide variety of alternative glazing specifications to meet specific criteria are available, full details from West Port technical department upon request. The minimum serviceable life of our products is around 30 years, although by specifying factory glazed and finished products, and by following strict maintenance procedures in accordance with component suppliers' recommendations, 60 years can be readily achieved. Subject to correct installation, regular cleaning, reasonable maintenance to finish, and lubrication of hardware being undertaken, we offer a 30 year warranty against rot and fungal attack, a 10 year warranty against manufacturing defects, and a 10 year warranty against sealed unit failure when factory glazed. The component and hardware manufacturers' warranties will be fully supported. Durability statements can be offered for all factory finished products in both opaque and translucent systems. Storage on site of longer than 7 days prior to fitting should always be avoided. Windows should always be stored upright avoiding faced contact & damage to ironmongery, under well ventilated cover at least 100mm from ground level. Good practice and due care must be exercised for the duration of the project. Windows/frames must not be site altered and should be fitted plumb, plane & true to avoid distortion. Careful consideration should be given to window location/specification to avoid moisture build up and localised heat exposure. Heating/Moisture management is essential to avoid nullifying warranty. Any additional decoration should be done in strict accordance with themanufacturers protocols. Any essential site alterations must be ratified & approved in writing by West Port. Periodic maintenance must be carried out within the relevant manufacturers guidelines.
